November Modbox

Assalamualaikum,

I know this is a pretty late post, since i purchased this like last November. So i totally forgot that i had this box in hand, until i started rummaging through all the beauty bags and boxes. I practically have boxes full of hair products, skin care, body care and makeup products, even though i gave some to my sister and mom. I'm sure my lil sister is hoarding it and haven't even used any of the products i gave her.

So anyway's i felt like pampering myself and i went to Modbox website and checked out what sample's were available for the month. Plus their the cheapest among all the beauty boxes - RM 15 (with postage), but for this it was a little extra which was RM 20.90 + RM 6 for postage = RM 26.90. So i decided to get something.

This were the items i chose to have in my box. As you can see there are 3 different brands that were in it.

The first is:-

Human Nature Moisturizing Shampoo with Cream Foam
(50ml @ RM11.90 / 200ml @ RM22.90 / 500ml @ RM44.90)

Rescue dry hair and damaged hair with this all-natural, SLS-free moisturising shampoo! with it's proprietary CreamFoam technology, it wraps every strand of hair with lotion for softness you can feel after just one rinse!

Shake well, add a few drops of water to the shampoo in your hand before lathering it up onto hair, and enjoy softer, healthier tresses.

~ I actually purchased both the shampoo and conditioner, have yet to give it a try since i have many other products in hand. In Shaa Allah once i've tried it, will definitely write a review on it. ;)

Murad Resurgence Hydrating Toner
(180ml @ RM 128)

Rehydrate skin with this bestselling toner from Murad that balances and neutralises surface impurities. Rooted in Murad's proprietary system for optimising cell hydration and skin health, this toner will help you restore your skin's suppleness to it's former glory. Apply over cleansed face before moisturising for a refreshing treat to your skin.

~I haven't given this a try as at yet too, as i have a lot of toner in hand. In Shaa Allah will do a review on it once i've tried it... :)~

Aqua Peeling Body Exfoliating Spray
(300ml @ RM 75)

Get radiant, baby soft skin with this refreshing Body Exfoliating Spray from Korea that's packed with natural plant ingredients that exfoliate while keeping skin moisturise.

To use, spray onto skin after shower and gently massage in circulation motion. Wash off to remove residue. Use 1-2 times a week for healthier, glowing skin!

~ I actually tried this like twice. I guess the only downfall is to get rid of the small piece that locks the bottle. Once taken out, in order to put the handle back into place, you really need to thug it quite hard, and that takes time and strength. For the product instruction itself, well i guess it contradicts with the one of their leaflet or maybe i misunderstood it myself, as i actually sprayed and used it before shower, left it for a few seconds and starter scrubbing, dead skin cells started appearing and i just wash and rinse it off as per normal. The after feeling was nothing amazing, but to me as long as i can see dead skin cells coming off it's good enough.

I guess that's about it, if any of you are interested in ordering from Modbox, you may do so at the link below:-

Tanamera Postnatal Care Set

Assalamualaikum,

As most of you might know i'm currently in my third trimester of my pregnancy. To date i'll be exactly 38 weeks tomorrow, so i'm just basically waiting for the time for baby to arrive. Emergency bag, baby's bag, labour bag & another bag to store hot flask, mug, drinks and biscuits while i'm admitted are already inside our car.

Not too sure whether i've mentioned which product i'll be using during my confinement, anyway i've decided to choose Tanamera, since they've been having good repo and testimonials from their customers. Not forgetting Dynaz Mokhtar (i hope i got her name right), a local Malaysian actress, even she used this 'set pantang' when she was on confinement. Well for me it's not whether a celebrity have used a certain product and endorse it, what's more important is the product and it's content and what benefit does it give to both us mum's and baby. My little girl actually had jaundice when she was a baby, so based on experience nurses will normally tell us not to take any 'jamu' or heaty things like kunyit and ginger. So i literally had to take Ginger out of my pantang diet.

Ok so let's get into this Tanamera Postnatal Care set, since i've been getting a lot of request on what's inside and all. This post will be more on the product and it's functions, as i'm unable to review it as at yet. So shall we start....

Alhamdulillah i receive this on Tuesday and it's a huge medium size box, jam pack with 11 products in total.

See, now do you believe when i said jam packed????

A thorough booklet on the items in the Tanamera Postnatal Care Set, from introduction to benefits, and instructions. And they have it in both English and Bahasa.

Cold Press Virgin Coconut Oil (VCO) - 100ml

It can be used prenatally for stretch mark prevention as well as postnatally for fading and existing stretch marks, apply twice a day. For best results apply after bathing and massage into wet skin.

Benefits:

There are testimonials whereby some mother didn't had to go incision during delivery or even tear upon delivery.

Emergency Bag for Hospitalisation (Labour)

Assalamualaikum,

Hi dearies, it's been a while since i last posted up something new on my blog. Anyway i would like to tribute this blog to those who are expecting, especially first time mommies. You see when i got pregnant the first time i did a lot of research. And one of the most important research was the emergency bag to bring to the hospital when you admit for labour. Anyway, i didn't expect the list to be incomplete as there were other things that were needed. So In Shaa Allah i'll be sharing the list of things that need to be in your emergency bags, baby's bag, things to bring in the labour room and etc.

First thing, emergency bag. I just turn 36 weeks last Friday and it's basically full term, now i'm just counting the days when my water brakes or when i start spotting. But i'm praying that my water brakes b'coz from first experience and also from those who have shared their experienced, if your water brakes it's not as painful as when you have spottings.

This is the list of items in the emergency bag:-
1. Pink Book (if you happen to go for monthly checkups in gov clinic you would know what i mean - VERY IMPORTANT!!!!)
2. Bath Towel.
3. Face Towel.
4. Toiletries (that includes toothbrush, toothpaste, cleanser, toner, moisturiser, facial cotton, ear digger - incase the ear starts to itch, nail clipper & pincer, bodywash, feminine wash).
5. Clothes when discharged.
6. Maternity Pad
7. Disposable panties (B'coz you won't have the time to wash and dry your panties)
8. Anti-bacterial wet wipes (if needed).
9. Wave mat (b'coz gov hospitals you stay in a big ward and if it's not air conditioned you might have mosquito.)
10. Handphone charger - also very important.
11. Socks.
12. Slippers/ Sandals or shoes.
13. Makeup (Just to look nice when you and baby discharge).

 2nd Bag
1. Hot Flask
2. Mug
3. Milo/Vico (Either your own mixture or 3in1)
4. Biscuits / Buns.
5. Bottle of Plain water.
(B'coz gov hospitals serve food early, you might be hungry later at night. And having all this items help curb the midnight hunger.)

Babies Bag.
1. Babies clothes (bring a few pair, i normally just bring the top b'coz the baby will still have their umbilical cord intact so no point making them wear the bottom. Plus they're wrap with the baby wrap, that would keep them warm enough)
2. Booties & Mittens.
3. Hat or something to cover the babies head to keep them warm.
4. Baby Wrap/ Welcome blanket.
5. Pampers.
6. Wet Wipes.
7. Lotion to moisturize their skin.
8. Newborn Pillow.
9. Nappy Rash Cream (I'm using the one from mothercare it comes in a small tub).
10. Towel.

Small Bag to Labour Room.
- Ok before i list it down, i do have to say that this small bag is important too b'coz when i delivered Sofiah, i was only told to bring baby's pampers and clothes. After the missy's finish cleaning me up, than only i knew i was suppose to bring along the maternity pad. So do keep this in your priority too.
1. Baby's pampers.
2. Baby's clothes.
3. 1pc of Maternity Pad.
4. 1pc of Disposable panties (if not they'll make their own loop in order for the maternity pad to stay intact.)

So i guess that's about it, if any of you have any other suggestions please do let me know and i'll edit the list. Hope it helps, especially for first time mothers. Anyway this is my list for those admitting to government hospital, it might be useful for those admitting in private clinic/hospital too. Whatever it is, it's just a guide to prepare for the big day.

Till than,
Assalamualaikum

My Pregnancy and Tanamera

Assalamualaikum ladies,

Well felt like blogging, so might as well blog something that i've bought recently from Tanamera Sri Ati (will provide the link to her FB page below the post later). Tanamera happens to be one of the well known brands for pregnant ladies. They have this set, whereby you could use it both pre and post pregnancy.

When i first had Sofiah i didn't really come across this brand, but through out the years with much reading and researching i somehow find that their products are herbal based and it helps especially during the confinement period. For those who have gone through pregnancy, I'm sure we can relate when i say that your body tends to get tired due to lack of sleep and other factors. If you've gone through a natural delivery, you might have been through an episiotomy (whereby they will do an incision at the entrance of the vagina to enable for the baby to be delivered and you can google to find out more). So for that you have an extra wound to care and heal, same goes for those who have gone through caesarean there is an extra care for this kinds of wounds.

So imagine being lethargic and in pain, this are all natural things that women have to go through upon the birth of their bundle of joy. Do note that I'm not trying to scare those who are planning to have a baby. It's a wonderful experience being able to feel your little one moving inside of you and after going through all the nausea, headaches and itchiness and etc at the end of the day all of those things will just be flying out the window, b'coz you get to see your little girl or your little man in your arms.

Now that's what's important, so i'd better stop my blabbering and start talking about the items i've purchase. As you can see below, I've purchased 2 items froms Tanamera Sri Ati (whose based in Terengganu) by the way. I happen to notice that she had some sale going on so i decided to purchase the Virgin Coconut Oil (100ml - VCO) and the Brown soap. I normally used Bio-oil during my pregnancy to curb the itchiness of my stretch marks, but somehow 4 years down the road, Bio-oil is really expensive when it's RM32.90 for a 60ml bottle.

So for this VCO, since it was on sale i manage to purchase it for RM 30.60 instead of the normal price of RM 34. And the brown soap for RM 13.50 instead of RM 15. The VCO is basically a multipurpose oil, you can use it to apply on your stretch marks, you can consume it and you can even use it to massage your perineum (based on the testimonials i've read, consuming VCO and using it for massaging the perineum actually helps during delivery. There have been those who have delivered without having an episiotomy, which is good (than you don't need to feel discomfort down there during your confinement).

The next item is the brown soap (as per the picture below), the soap bar is pretty big actually, and it's made out of herbs. It helps to lessen the appearance of stretch marks and skin allegiance on the neck and the body. It also functions as a scrub, at the bottom the texture of the soap bar is more rough than the top.

So far i'm happy with both the items i purchase. I did notice that i smell coconuty when ever i apply the VCO and my skin does feel good and clean when ever i used the herbal soap. I'm currently having this skin irritation all over my body, I'm not sure whether it's due to heat (pregnant women tend to be heaty during pregnancy). I literally bath like 3 times a day, b'coz i sweat a lot and if i don't bath immediately my body starts to itch. And due to that i'm having red spots all over my body..eerrkkk...

So In Shaa Allah i'm able to purchase this post natal set which cost RM 390, if you buy it from Tanamera, but if you purchase it from Tanamera Sri Ati it will only cost you RM 360 with free postage. The set is as per below:-

There are 11 items in the postnatal set

6 bengkung(kembalikan bentuk badan puan)
7 pilis(bersifat sejuk..untuk hilangkan sakit kepala..migrin..angin dalam kepala
