[Beauty Review] LOC Love Of Color Tati

Hi & Assalamualaikum to all you lovelies,

It's been a while since i last blog. Been so overwhelmed with things, including the kids, the house and also working part time from home. So with all that, i manage to do some shopping as well. I'm not sure whether i should do some random haul, but i did get quite a few things during Luxola 40% Sale, and than Sephora started bringing in all the Holiday Sets... so there were some ooo's and aaa's along the way (well for me, of course).

Anyway this time i want to talk about a brand that's not common in Malaysia, rather it's a collaboration between my favourite Youtuber Tati Westbrook from Glamlife Guru & Birchbox. As some of you might know, Birchbox is a Beauty Subscription Box in the US and as all Beauty Box Subscriptions, they normally curate a mix an match of skincare or makeup products in a box every month. Sadly the one's in Malaysia are all dying, wish they could bring Birchbox to Malaysia.

So one day while watching Tati, she mentioned that she collaborated with Birchbox on a makeup line called LOC Love of Color *heart* Tati. It's not a permanent collection, and it's only available for a certain limited time. So guess what this fan girl inside of me started asking around to see how i could get hold of her collection, and after a month of hunting this lovely lady Mei-Yan offered to be a personal shopper and got it for me by using Shop&Box. And with the current rate of our currency, it ain't cheap bringing in this babies. After 2-3 weeks of waiting, i manage to have this collection in my hands *squeal with delight*

So let's get to the details shall we.

The size comparison

Verdict

First of all i have to mentioned that the packaging is simple and slick and at the same time it's also travel friendly (small and lightweight). The texture is very smooth & buttery and it's very pigmented. As mentioned once applied it's best to work or blend it within 30 seconds if not it won't budge *like seriously*. So work one eyelid at a time. It practically does what it claims, it doesn't leave any creases and so far i've only used it max 6 hours, and the colors still looks amazing. Removing it is not really a pain, but it takes a few wipes before it's totally off.

Next is the Vibrant Matte Lipsticks it's described as a bold matte color that stays soft and flexible.

It consist of 3 colors:-
- First Kiss - Pinky Beige
-Wildest Dreams - True Red with blue undertones
-Glam Life - Deep Berry Plum (Suitable for every skin tone)

Apply lipstick to dry, moisturized lips, then blot.

Size comparison for Vibrant Matte Lipsticks

Verdict:

Same as the eyeshadow sticks, the packaging is simple and slick, travel friendly (small and lightweight). The texture is very smooth & buttery and it's very pigmented. It's a twist up crayon like lippy, and the cover actually clicks so you don't have to worry about the cover coming off and the lipstick being damage and all that.

*It's also Paraben Free & Cruelty Free.

This set is only available on Birchbox, and it's retailing for USD 46 (while the actual value is USD 79). They also sell this items individually or in a set like eyeshadows (USD 10) or lippies (USD 8) only. And for Xmas they've actually come up with a set with mix and match eyeshadows & lippies. So if you're interested do check them out, in the mean time below is Tati explaining about her collaboration with Birchbox and launch on the new LOC collection.

*Fashion Finds: Tops Muslimah

Assallamualaikum lovelies,

Hi and welcome to my blog if this is the first time you're coming across my blog. I haven't been updating lately due to personal reasons at home, i know i'm guilty of neglecting this faithful blog of mine. Will share about that with you guys one day In Shaa Allah.

Anyway's i don't normally write fashion, but i somehow felt like sharing with you lovelies on my taste of fashion. My current style is currently simple, casual, easy, breastfeeding friendly and wuduk/ablution friendly. Yes i'm very mommy/aunty in that kinda way, i love wearing a simple blouse with pants or long skirts. Since i rarely go out, which most of the time it's only on the weekends when buying groceries. My wardrobe is practically limited and in rotating order. And not forgetting that 95 % of the clothes i owned are ironed free, meaning it doesn't require ironing at all, just wear, wash, hang to dry and that's all.

So back to the topic, i normally browse for muslimah clothing online and while browsing i notice that there's been a certain trend and demand towards trendy tops muslimah collection. It's practically making a huge comeback in the local fashion arena in Malaysia. This new trend practically started few years back (which i was aware of) and it's making its very own way among local fashion lover, or to be exact better known as hijabista.

Muslimah clothing has been the most popular choice among customer this days and it's been on high demand not only for normal retail but also for online Muslimah fashion boutique.

Normally when Muslimah clothing comes to mind, the first thing that crosses your mind is something fully covered, mundane and not fashionable at all. But surprise, surprise the current Muslimah trend is very easy to mix and style, and you can basically look very fashionable like others. And at the same time it has all the criteria in adhering to the basic guideline on how to dress modestly as a Muslim woman. There are many ways of adopting a little creativity while dressing up without crossing the line, all we ladies need is just a basic knowledge on simple and workable Muslimah clothing fashion tips, and it doesn't even cost much either.

You can simply google them on the internet and in between you might stumble on some online Muslimah boutique along the way (that's how i come accross most of them). To be honest i have my own list of favourite boutiques and the best boutique Muslimah online in Malaysia should have a wide selection of trendy tops Muslimah collection.

There are also many online Muslimah fashion boutique in Malaysia on the internet that offers amazing selection of fashionable Muslimah top collection that would be great in creating a stunning outfit for the perfect night or if you have any functions where you need to dress up fashionably but at the same time dressing modestly.

Dressing fashionably and modestly doesn't require you to splurge much if you know where to get them, as most of the Muslimah top collection online offers the best price with amazing discounts offered online.

So i guess that's all the sharing i have for now in fashion, and In Shaa Allah i hope to come up with another blog post sometime soon, till than take care lovelies.... ^_^

[Review] Real Techniques Expert Brush by Sam & Nick Chapman of Pixiwoo

Hi & Assalamualaikum,

How are you all doing, In Shaa Allah everyone have been doing great. Well i've purchased Real Techniques Expert Brush for quite a while now so i think it's time for me to share my verdict on it. Before that let me share some insight with you ladies on this brush.

As quoted from the Real Techniques official website the Real Techniques Expert Brush is:-

Ultra firm and broad for application and blending of cream or liquid foundation:

  • look pixel-perfect even in harsh light
  • ultra-plush, synthetic bristles are hand-cut and
    100% cruelty-free
  • self-standing for easy storage
  • extended aluminum handle is light and easy to use

 My verdict:-

I can't deny the fact that the brush is light, and since the bristles are synthetic it makes it easy when it comes time to wash. The bristles are pretty soft and dense. But i can't help it but to grab my Sigma F80 instead of the Real Techniques Expert Brush. With all the rave that i've heard, i still preferred a dense and broad foundation brush. Real Techniques Expert Brush instead has a smaller surface and i notice that when i apply liquid foundation with the Real Techniques Expert Brush it leaves streaks on the face and not a smooth flawless finish like how i want it too. I may use it as a replacement brush in case my Sigma F80 is wet or dirty. To say the least, it's okay to splurge on a Sigma, but if it's out of the budget you can still opt for the Real Techniques Expert Brush or if you like a broader surface you can also give the Real Techniques Buffing Brush a try too

The brush is currently retailing for RM 43 on Luxola, but you can also purchase it from sellers on FB or IG. I'll share the link below on where to look for it and you do the price comparison ok?

Till than Assalamualaikum and take care.

[Review] RA8 Regenerative Serum

Assalamualaikum and Hi,

How are all of you doing? I hope everyone is well. It's been a while since my last post, and there's no point of me apologising every single time a new post comes out of the bloom. Well just wanna share with you lovelies that i've been trying out this product for almost a month. Thanks to HiShop, i was able to give RA8 Regenerative Serum a try. What is this RA8 Regenerative Serum about i hear you say? This small bottle definitely packs a punch, with ingredients made from the sea... yup it's dub as the Beauty Secrets from the Sea.

And guess what it's a Malaysian made product, MALAYSIA BOLEH!!!... now don't be going and having doubts with Malaysian products (i know some of us have that little voice of doubt in us when it comes to locally made products, I'm not denying, but i do have that small voice in me at times). This little baby is clinically tested on Asian Skin, Contains no Parabens, pack with all natural active ingredients and the best of all it's not tested on animals. So it's practically cruelty free (this will definitely capture the hearts of those who love organic, green, and animal lovers). And should i add that it is also clinically tested under SIRIM for Bioactive Essence from Fermented Marine-based material as cosmoceutical agent for skin rejuvenation.

RA8 Regenerative Serum is a revolutionary anti-aging formulation. This regenerative serum has the highest percentage of the Award winning Patented Acqua-Marine extract to Super-charge cell renewal.

Directions of use:-
Use it twice daily on cleansed face.
Pump a small amount of the fluid on palm and gently smooth it all over the face and neck. Avoid the eye area.
Use it on its own (night) or for Day Use as a primer to the RA8 Renewal Skin Creme.

Ingredients:-
Aqua tetrasodium EDTA, Magnesium Aluminium Silicate, Xanthan Gum, Hydrogenated Polydecene, Glycerin, Ethoxdiglycol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Phenoxyethanol, Citrus Limon (Lemon) Fruit Extract, Fragrance, Jojoba Oil PEG 150 Esters, Aquamarine Extract.

Benefit:-
RA8 Regenerative Serum will nourish the facial skin looking Radiant, Revitalise and Rejuvenated for a youthful look.

- Increases Anti-oxidant activities.
- Stimulates regeneration of skin cells.
- Promoted natural collagen growth.
- Stimulates skin hydration.
- Repairs damaged skin.
- Reduces skin pigmentation .
- Reduces fine lines and wrinkles.
-Promotes skin elasticity and firmness.
- Increases skin luminosity and radiance.
- Brightens overall skin complexion.
- Suitable for normal, oily, dry and combination skin.

Verdict:-
Well as mentioned earlier, i've been using RA8 Regenerative Serum for the past 1 month, and i did have major breakouts in the earlier stages which i'm not so sure whether it was due to food, stress or trying out new product. But after 2 weeks my skin was back to normal, overall i didn't really see much of a difference, though the product did claim to have a lot of benefits. I guess the only thing that i can say is that my skin did look smooth and supple but it wasn't that obvious, and i guess the real results will only be obvious in the long run. Packaging wise it's very clean, simple and straight forward, it has a clear cap and a pump which i find it helpful but at times it doesn't dispense properly. And i noticed after the first few use, the so called metal finishing on the pump starts to peel. So that's when i feel that they need to look into their packaging and trying to improve on it. All in all it's light, it's compact and travel friendly.
If you were to visit the official RA8 website, they do advice us to use the whole range in order to achieve better results.

RA8 Regenerative Serum is currently retailing for RM 74 (10ml) and RM 108 (15ml).

[Review] Beauty Talk 3D Refining Day Cream

Hi and Assalamualaikum,

How are you all doing today? I hope everyone has been doing well and also well rested after the year end holidays. And i'm sure many of you have your own new year resolution for 2015. Well to be honest i don't really have a list of resolution, more like a list of makeup and beauty items that i've been eyeing on. Plus my little girl is already 5 this year and she's going to kindy... Ya Allah, how time flies...

Anyway's let's get down to business shall we, alhamdulillah i was chosen to review this beauty item from HiShop and this time it's on Beauty Talk 3D Refining Day Cream

Dub as a multi-tasker Beauty Talk 3D Refining Day Cream actually has 4 criteria, which is Good makeup-base, Antioxidant, UV Protection, Moisturizing & Whitening.

MAJOR FUNCTIONS:

Smoothes Fine Lines - Contains Hexapeptides that penetrate deeply into the skin, nourish the complexion from deep down and effectively smooth fine lines and tighten skin.

Multi-Whitening actions - Contains multiple vitamin: "Vitamin C" fights free radicals, inhibits pigmentation and diminishes and lightens dark spots. "Vitamin E" an outstanding anti-oxidant and anti-aging factor; fights off UV light and strengthens skin's defenses, prevents formation of melanin and dark spots and enhances radiance.

Soothes and Repairs - Formulated with Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower extract to stabilize sensitive skin, it is capable of soothing inflamed skin.

Enhanced Moisturizing Effect - Vitamin E fights lipid oxidation, moisturizes and protects skin from UV damage, maintaining your skin in a soft and hydrated state. Cholesterols are also used to help build lipid membranes and enhance the skin's hydration ability.

Improved 3D complexion - Natural luminous powders are used to produce pearl-like loose powders. The exquisite and fine texture of the powder gives your skin a natural glow. Your skin will look fabulously natural and makeup-free.

MAIN INGREDIENTS

Vitamin E, Acetyl Hexapeptide-3, Acetyl hexapeptide-8 (Argireline), Hydrolyzed Soy Protein, Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein, Natural Pearl Powder (mica), Acerola Fruit, Iris Florentina Root Extract, Chamomilla Recutita Flower Extract, and Sodium Hyaluronate.

(below is a more detailed picture of the ingredients in the product)

HOW TO USE

Dispense an appropriate amount onto a sponge or finger. Apply evenly onto skin, concentrating particularly on the T-zone area. Recommended to apply after using the Toning Lotion or Oxyaqua Gel Cream.

MY VERDICT:

First impression the packaging looks classy, with a white and silver imprints, it makes the bottle looks clean and nice. The bottle is made out of plastic so no worries about dropping and breaking it. It has a pump head so it makes it easier to dispense the product unto your palm and the amount it dispenses is enough to cover the whole face. I normally dot the product unto my face before using my hands to spread it out evenly.

Once it's applied on to my skin it doesn't feel tacky neither does it leave any white cast over my face. It actually feels quite light on the skin and it smells like how most foundation smells, but nothing overpowering. It acts as a good base make-up as mentioned and it definitely makes applying makeup much easier.

If you're looking for a moisturizer that acts as a makeup base as well, try this as it helps dull skin look more livelier. Beauty Talk 3D Refining Day Cream is currently retailing at RM 169 for a bottle of 30ml, but there's a 15% off now which makes it RM 143.65.
