Makeup & Tools Haul from Luxola 25% Sale

Hi & Assalamualaikum lovelies,

As per usual this is another late posting coming from me, and as you all have notice for the past months, Luxola has been having frequent offers on the items that they carry.

If any of you are still new with what Luxola is, well Luxola is a Singapore based e-commerce business that provides 48 brands and over 500 different products on it's website. And everything is reachable by the tip of your finger, all you need to do is browse through the site, click what you want and put it in your online shopping cart. Even payment can be made via online, once payment has been made they would email the invoice and a notification will be sent to the email once the parcel is out. It'll take roughly 2-5 days to arrive, as most items are normally send out from their warehouse in Singapore.

Few months back, they actually had a 25% SALE on all their products, and this is actually my 1st time placing an order from them. Yes call me a 'slow mo'... better late than never right. So i decided to get my hands on the ever famous Sigma Beauty F80 Flat Kabuki Brush, thanks to all the good reviews that i've been reading and watching on youtube. Previously i would use my hands to apply foundation and BB Cream, as i find it very tedious to use the brush, plus it leaves streaks on my face. Well maybe i'm just not good in using the normal foundation brush.

So here's the Sigma Beauty F80 Flat Kabuki Brush, as you can see the hairs on the brush is quite dense which makes it easy to apply foundation over the face. This brush originally cost RM 74.50, but after 25% discount, it only cost a mere RM55.88 which i think is a very good buy. A little pricey, but it's a good start in investing a good makeup brush.

I also purchase Sleek's Face Contour Kit. I've never dealt with any contouring before, my makeup was mere foundation, eye liner on the upper lid and waterline, blusher and lipstick. No highlighter, no bronzer. This contour kit retails at RM 45.50, after less 25% it only cost RM 34.13.

A small little look book on how and where to apply the highlighter and bronzer.

And a very simple and sleek packaging, very slim, easy and light to carry around. I actually chose the shade Light, as i'm more to the fair complexion side. So getting this shade was definitely and ideal choice. They also have two other shades available which is medium and dark.

Swatches with flash mode, it looks quite light but it actually turns out good on the cheek. This is my current favorite item in my makeup bag when i wanna go au naturel. You can even skip the blusher if you want, just put some light foundation, some eye liner, a little highlight and bronzer on the cheeks and the nose, some tinted lipbalm and you're good to go. I'm serious... you'll have a result of healthy glowing skin and not looking too made up...

So my verdict is both the items are definitely a good buy, and since Luxola uses Aramex you can actually track where your parcel is. The parcel actually reached me 5 days after i made the order & payment. And when i received it, you won't believe the amount of bubble wraps that they use. I even got a small sample of Rachel K's Mineral Color Control Neutral CC Cream Blemish Balm.

The link to Luxola is as per below and want to know another tip? subscribe to their newsletter so you will get the latest update on discounts and new products and most importantly an early access to their sale which is normally an hour before the estimated time.

Mask Galore by Guardian

Assalamualaikum and Hi Dearies,

How is everyone doing? Hope everyone is doing well and good. Anyways this is another overdue post from me and it's about Guardian very own sheet mask. If you've followed my blog and read my post previously, you would know by now that i love using sheet mask. I somehow find it easier to use it, rather than using cream mask  and slathering it on my face and later removing it with water or the other which is the peel of mask.

Well it's not that i don't like them, it's just that i much prefer sheet mask, so yeah it's more of a personal preference. But the real reason is b'coz i normally used mask at night before i sleep, so i usually doze of to sleep with the mask on (so imagine if i were to use mud/cream or peel of mask.. eik.. i might end up messing up my pillow case. Plus i don't want to give my hubby a fright when he wakes up in the morning.. hehehe). Yes i'm guilty of that, but i'm sure some of you do the same as i do at times. Right?

So while i was out shopping groceries in Giant, i decided to give a visit to Guardian Pharmacy. I noticed that they were having offer for this mask which was like 2 for RM10 or 11 something, i can't really recall. But at the end i decided to get 4 of it and P.S their mask are made from Korea.

Before that just to mentioned that i do have dry combination skin and i do have some flaws like occasional pimples, pigmentation and sometimes my skin does look a little sallow. So anything pertaining to moisture, brightening and nourishing to the skin i'll definitely give it a try.

So back to the mask i actually purchase this 4:-

Arbutin Face Mask - Brightening
Aloe Vera Face Mask - Ultra Soothing
Olive Face Mask - Moisturising
Avocado Face Mask - Nourishing

Arbutin Brightening Face Mask

Contains natural Arbutin extract from Bearberries to brighten and energise tired, dull skin. It helps to prevent the formation of melanin, leaving an even skin complexion with a healthy glow.

Avocado Nourishing Face Mask

Contains natural Avocado extract which is rich in minerals and vitamins to deeply nourish and moisture the skin. With antioxidant and antibacterial properties, it helps leave the skin soft, smooth and rejuvenated.

Olive Moisturising Face Mask

Contains natural Olive extract to help preserve and lock in skin's natural moisture. It leaves the skin soft, smooth and hydrated

Aloe Vera Ultra Soothing Face Mask

Contains natural Aloe Vera extract to sooth and calm skin. It continuously hydrates and replenishes the skin moisture, leaving it soft and revitalised.

I've used all 4 of this mask and find it very cooling and moisturising. There's a scent for every of the mask but it's not too strong or overpowering that it will interfere the relaxation process. The mask is definitely drenched with the liquid extracts, but no worries as it doesn't really leave trails of liquid along your jaw or neck like how some sheet mask does. All in all it's a good buy especially for those who really loves sheet mask like i do. Reasonable price for a really good mask that not only does what it's suppose to do but also helps in making the user feel cool, calm and relax.

Where to Purchase: Any Guardian Pharmacy Outlets
Price: RM 4/5+ per pc or look out whenever they have their offer which is 2pc for RM8+ / RM10+.

That's all for now, Assalamualaikum ^_^

Review on Tarte CC Matte Palette

Assalamualaikum and Hi lovelies,

How are you all doing, hope everyone was able to enjoy the long Malaysia Day weekend holiday. Well i know i've been in hiatus for a while, i don't think i have to tell you why since my reasons are always the usual ones. So now that i have the time to update my blog, i might as well do so.

I'm sure out there, there are many of you who might have come across or currently in love with the brand Tarte as much as i do, the thought of knowing that most of their makeup are based from this formulation of amazonian clay, superfuit and plant extracts made me wonder how good their product really was. So I did some background research by checking out their official website and here's what i got:-

Before I started tarte out of my one bedroom apartment in 1999, I was a total beauty addict like you, but I quickly became frustrated when I couldn’t find pure, powerful cosmetics. Everything I found was full of unhealthy, icky stuff, and whether it was from a department store or one of the very few "healthy" makeup lines I could find, the packaging was so unglamorous that I hardly wanted to buy it let alone take it out of my purse in public!
So I set out to create a line that would prove that glamour can be good for you by pioneering the use of high-performance naturals™. Today tarte is a leader in healthy, eco-chic beauty, offering cruelty-free cosmetics infused with skinvigorating™ ingredients like superfruit and plant extracts, vitamins, minerals, essential oils and other naturally-derived ingredients. But it’s not just about what’s in our powerful formulas; it’s what’s not in them that really sets us apart! All of our products are formulated without parabens, mineral oil, phthalates, sodium lauryl sulfate, triclosan, synthetic fragrances and gluten, just to name a few. Ingredients are absolutely important to me, but so are formulas that perform. We call it tarte 12-hour power™, but you’ll just notice it lasts. Not to mention that we’ve got budgeproof, waterproof, sweatproof, SPF and formulas with truly compelling consumer panel claims.
But believe me we don’t just stop at the formulas – our chic, runway-inspired cases and compacts are more than just pretty packaging. We care about the environment, so we continue to support cooperatives in the Rainforest and develop sustainable components that can often be re-used to help reduce environmental waste.
From our award-winning blushes and lip tints to breakthrough Amazonian clay and maracuja complexion products, we’re committed to delivering real results for real women. I hope you enjoy your tarte purchase and remember: be green, be smart, be tarte!

How did i get to know about this brand? well it wasn't after i heard some youtube beauty guru's raving about their product, especially  Estee from essiebutton (she's in love with their blushers, and have all the colors in her collection). Well i literally fell in love with their packaging b'coz it was so out of the ordinary that I started to check out their products. Tarte is currently only available in Sephora, and i managed to have a look at their items but i never thought i could afford to buy them, as it is out of my budget. Thanks to my little sister, she decided to get a lovely palette from Tarte for me as a birthday gift (well it was actually my choice... hehehe).

Prior to my birthday, we did go to Sephora together and that's when i saw the Tarte Be MATTEnificent Amazonian Colored Clay Matte Eye & Cheek Palette for the first time, i even swatched it to see how the colors will turned out. Tarte CC Matte or aka Tarte Be MATTEnificent Amazonian Colored Clay Matte Eye & Cheek Palette, is a lovely palette that has 8 limited-edition Amazonian Colored Clay Eyeshadows, 1 limited-edition Colored Clay Blush and 1 double-ended shadow brush.

All the eye shadows are matte (so if you're a matte fan, this palette would be perfect for you).

The lovely colored packaging, PURPLE.... my favorite. It somehow reminds me of the inside of a tree bark.

A small look book on how to create a look with the palette.

Swatch on how the color looks like under natural light.

Elevated (Blusher)
Sand Out From The Crowd (Eye Shadow Base)
Pink Outside The Box & Peach For The Stars (Lid)
Rose To The Occasion & View From The Taupe (Crease)
Two Plums Up (Outer Corner)
Dream In Chocolate & Don't Stand Black (Liner)

Due to the texture of the eye shadow it's quite hard to swatch it, i had to rub it really hard to get the colors swatch properly (except for the darker colors). It may look less pigmented, but the colours are build-able if you want a more intense look. There are some fall out upon contact of the brush over the palette, but it won't affect if you tap your brushes prior to applying it on your face. I've come across a few youtube beauty gurus and they did mentioned that some products are sometimes quite hard to swatch over the hand, but when applied over the lids it's totally different. So do give it a try and do look out at other reviews, especially those in youtube, so you can get a clearer picture.

For those who like natural colors or purple, i'm sure you would love this palette as much as i do. The palette is retailing at RM 160 at Sephora, I'm not sure if this palette is still available, but for those who are interested you can give any of the Sephora outlets a call.

In Shaa Allah will do a look with this palette sometime soon, till than take care...

~Assalamualaikum~
