[Review] Real Techniques Expert Brush by Sam & Nick Chapman of Pixiwoo

Hi & Assalamualaikum,

How are you all doing, In Shaa Allah everyone have been doing great. Well i've purchased Real Techniques Expert Brush for quite a while now so i think it's time for me to share my verdict on it. Before that let me share some insight with you ladies on this brush.

As quoted from the Real Techniques official website the Real Techniques Expert Brush is:-

Ultra firm and broad for application and blending of cream or liquid foundation:

  • look pixel-perfect even in harsh light
  • ultra-plush, synthetic bristles are hand-cut and
    100% cruelty-free
  • self-standing for easy storage
  • extended aluminum handle is light and easy to use

 My verdict:-

I can't deny the fact that the brush is light, and since the bristles are synthetic it makes it easy when it comes time to wash. The bristles are pretty soft and dense. But i can't help it but to grab my Sigma F80 instead of the Real Techniques Expert Brush. With all the rave that i've heard, i still preferred a dense and broad foundation brush. Real Techniques Expert Brush instead has a smaller surface and i notice that when i apply liquid foundation with the Real Techniques Expert Brush it leaves streaks on the face and not a smooth flawless finish like how i want it too. I may use it as a replacement brush in case my Sigma F80 is wet or dirty. To say the least, it's okay to splurge on a Sigma, but if it's out of the budget you can still opt for the Real Techniques Expert Brush or if you like a broader surface you can also give the Real Techniques Buffing Brush a try too

The brush is currently retailing for RM 43 on Luxola, but you can also purchase it from sellers on FB or IG. I'll share the link below on where to look for it and you do the price comparison ok?

Till than Assalamualaikum and take care.
