Drugstore HAUL from Mesmerize SALE

Assalamualaikum and Hi lovelies,

If any of you have come across my recent post, you would definitely think that i'm going cray, cray with drugstore cosmetics from overseas. Well i am, and about a month back i actually found out that Mesmerize was having some of their items on 'SALE' and you ladies would know by now, when it comes to 'SALE' you can start seeing money flying off the purse *i kid you not*. But alhamdulillah this days i try not to buy on impulse, i actually allow myself a few days and do some research before i start purchasing anything.

So as you can see i didn't actually do a big haul, it's just a little one since my budget was pretty tight. And this three items were just to tempting not too try, plus the price was such a steal, i can't resist it. Well i had valid reasons too, for the foundation it was b'coz i was using my BRTC Jasmine Water BB Cream for quite a while and i wanted to try something else. And for the bronzer, it was b'coz i wanted to try it out and learn how to contour my face, but i somehow ended up with a bronzer that functions more like a blusher instead of a bronzer. Well i guess that happens sometimes, am i right?

I decided to try out the:-

1. ELF Flawless Finish Foundation in the shade Sand
2. MUA Mosaic Bronzer in Sunrise Glow
3. MUA Eyebrow Brush with Comb

ELF Flawless Finish Foundation packaging is actually made out of glass, so it's quite sturdy and a little heavy for a foundation bottle. You might want to be extra careful whenever you're around this bottle, as it might be fragile and it could break. The foundation also contains SPF 15 and proofs to be Oil Free.

(Please excuse the spelling error ^_^)

It has a pump head, which is quite easy to control the flow and how much you want to dispense. As mentioned on the back of the bottle, it is best to apply it with a foundation brush or sponge

*Apply on face area to even out skin tone for a beautiful semi-matte finish that lasts all day*

~ Well the truth is i tried applying this foundation with my Body Shop Foundation brush, but it somehow leaves some streaks especially under my eye area. Just purchased a new brush, and currently waiting for it to arrive, will try to experiment it again and will definitely do a short review on it. But for the time being i'm just happy applying it with my hands, which i find it so easy.

Results, it does leave a semi-matte finish. I'm glad that it has SPF 15, as i don't apply sunblock *i know i'm guilty of not doing so*. To say that it last the whole day well i'm not too sure, as i normally used makeup only for few hours.. but for the few hours it has proven to be lasting. You'll definitely find the foundation a little tacky when you first apply it on the skin, but somehow the feeling will wear off once it sets.

- This is how it looks like when i mix up all the colors and swatch~

MUA Mosaic Bronzer in Sunrise Glow

Just to let you guys know, when i saw this bronzer i was contemplating whether to get the shade Natural Glow (pix below) or the Sunrise Glow. And alhamdulillah i did my research, b'coz Natural Glow shade is more of a bronzer with gold to brown undertones, while Sunrise Glow has a more pinkish tone which i love b'coz i could use it as a blusher.

The colours are really pigmented, just a light brush on the palette is enough to swipe both the cheeks. I made the mistake of playing my brush to long on the palette the first time, and when i applied it on my cheeks, it was just too much *don't want to be looking like a clown, would i*. My cheeks look so pink that i had to grab a tissue and wipe it off and applied some powder to tone down the pinkiness.

As for the packaging i really like it as it has a clear plastic cover over, where you could see the shades. And i love how they design it like a mosaic, it's not something that you see always. For a drugstore product, i would definitely give my thumbs up.

Next is MUA Eyebrow Brush with Comb. I actually bought this b'coz there wasn't a mascara wand available, so i thought why not just get this and give it a try. I haven't used it much b'coz i realise that the brush side, the bristles are actually quite hard. It's like when ever i wanna tame my eyebrows in place, it feels like i'm scratching it instead of brushing it.

Well that's all for now, i'll have more reviews coming up on other beauty products. So stay tune and do follow my blog if possible. Till than Assalamualaikum ^_^

Syaza: I guess we are, tulah sometimes malas jugak nak buat contouring. Anyway as mentioned instead of using it as a bronzer i used this more as a blusher. But i just purchase Sleek Contouring Kit recently, so definitely would learn to use and practice my contouring skill. Will put a review on that soon.

Mieza: Well it all depends on skin color and preference. Initially i thought of getting the brown one too, but i was afraid that it'll look to dark on me. ^_^
