*Fashion Finds: Emcee Couture*

Hi & Assalamualaikum,

How are you ladies doing today? well guess what today i'll be talking something that's not in my normal element which is makeup, skincare or hauls. But it's something new that i might be featuring in my blog often starting from now. I have to admit that I'm not a pro in fashion, but at least i can try, especially when i find something that's worth sharing with you ladies.

So today i would like to introduce you ladies to this website by Emcee Couture. If you ladies have not heard of this site, including me than you should really check it out. 

Emcee Couture was founded by Mei Chee in December 2009, it started off when Mei Chee whose a petite frame, find it hard to find clothes that suits and fit her well. At times she would end up going shopping and coming back empty handed, or ending up altering a brand new store bought clothes.

That was when she decided to create her very own clothing that fits her well. After a few years, and with the support of her family and friends, Mei Chee decided to test the market when shop blogs started springing up like mushrooms. That was when she started getting orders for custom designs.

Mei Chee had to decide to jump from her career in food technology to creating and sewing. As business started growing that was when Mei Chee decided that it was time for Emcee Couture to have it's very own studio in December 2011 at Taipan Business Centre, Subang Jaya. On the 22nd of October 2013, Emcee Couture website was launched in hope of easing customers shopping experience.

My Thoughts

At the moment i've been using the Seri Emas Facial Soap Savon Visage Tonique for the past 1 week. I don't have problem with sinus and migraine, so i won't be able to comment on that. My first impression of the product, it reminds me of the Collagen E bar soap. If any of you have heard, seen or use it would know what i mean. Well it has a nice scent to it and it does leave my skin feeling clean. As for acne scars, pigmentation and skin tone, i have not noticed any difference. As mentioned in the benefits, it might take a month to notice the difference. So i will update you all again after a month of usage. Currently i'm only using their soap as a cleanser, while my toner, serum and moisturizer are from different brands. So In Shaa Allah i hope i will be able to give a fair review by the end of the one month period on this product, without the influence of it being a sponsored product. I do have to mentioned that i am using it diligently as per recommended which is day and night.

Stila In The Light Eyeshadow Palette

How are all of you doing? I hope everyone has been enjoying their long weekend Raya Haji Holiday. Well if you all have notice, i'm a fan of nude/natural eyeshadows. I actually had Stila In The Light Eyeshadow Palette in my Pinterest Beauty List for quite a while. Hoping that one day, maybe just one day i might get it in one of my international beauty swaps, or maybe just maybe there will be some SALE or discount that will happen in Sephora. And guess what, when it came the day that i received an email from Sephora and they were' having 57% discount for selected items, and one of it were Stila's eye makeup palette. 

The discount was in conjunction with Malaysia's 57th Independence Day, so i decided to call my trusted lil sis Amanda and told her that we need to go to Sephora to get this, i mean for me to get this. So we did and we went to Sephora in Sunway Pyramid, alhamdulillah it was available and i quickly grab hold of this Stila In The Light Eyeshadow Palette. 

If you haven't take note of this palette or have not took any notice of it, you may do it so now... hehehehe. Describe as a wearable, neutral shades for every skin tone that can be worn both wet or dry.

The palette also includes a Smudge Stick Waterproof Eyeliner in Damsel, which is a matte chocolate brown and also not forgetting a 6 page look book. 

The lovely shades that are in it, all together there are 10 of it. The shade includes:-

Bare - A matte ivory shade
Kitten
Bliss - A matte beige pink
Sunset - Shimmery canyon pink
Sandstone - Matte light coco
Bubbly - Pale Gold shimmer

The total weight of the palette is .49 oz and retails at RM 126 at all Sephora outlets in Malaysia. And thanks to the the 57% discount i actually got to purchased it for RM54.18 *squeal with delight*....

I definitely love the palette, as they have lovely shades and i can't wait to try it. The compact packaging is actually slim and light, since it's more of a cardboard material. And with a big mirror, it would definitely make it easy for us ladies to touch up or do our eye makeup wherever we want. The Smudge Stick Waterproof Eyeliner which is a bonus, is quite easy to apply on, but i guess the only downside is that the propel pencil does not retract. I did some research after purchasing the item and i was wondering how do i get the Smudge Stick Waterproof Eyeliner propel from it's casing, and i heard that you have to tilt it down a little but be careful at the same time since the bullet cannot be retracted back to it's origins.

[Review] Garnier BB Eye Roll On

Have you guys ever experience lack of sleep or do you tend to sleep late at night? Well i've experience both through out my life and for that i end up having dark circles under my eyes. Alhamdulillah it's not that bad, but it's concealable if i were to used makeup on. 

So if you guys have come across my previous post on my Only Beauty Sale haul in Citta mall (link) you would have known by now that i've purchased the Garnier BB Eye Roll On in the shade Natural. I'm not sure whether there is any other shades available, but this was what i happen to grab and i wasn't even aware that there were shades *silly me*.

Since it was on sale for RM12, i decided to give it a go. I've actually saw a reviewed in youtube from Judy's Time and it looks pretty promising. So here are some shots of the Garnier BB Eye Roll On.

As you can see it looks exactly like the other Garnier product which is the Light Brightening Roll-On. I've tried it before but it didn't seem to work for me.

As you can see the applicator is a roller ball, it helps to soothe and also gives a cooling sensation to the under eye upon application. But the only downside is that the BB cream tends to be smeared outside the roller ball itself too. So i normally would used a tissue to wipe the excess that is smeared, just for the purpose to keep the Garnier BB Eye Roll On hygienic and clean.

The swatch and blend, it actually blends quite easily unto the skin since the consistency is light, like a BB Cream. 

I would definitely recommend the Garnier BB Eye Roll On b'coz i find that it is very light weight which i love and it's also easy to blend. Before that I've actually used the Nyx Above and Beyond Full Coverage Concealer for my under eye, it conceals but i think due to the thick consistency it tends to crease even when it's upon application. About the shades, i'm not sure how many shades are available in Malaysia, but it should be able to suit most skintones, since it's a BB Cream and not the usual concealer.

Makeup & Tools Haul from Luxola 25% Sale

Hi & Assalamualaikum lovelies,

As per usual this is another late posting coming from me, and as you all have notice for the past months, Luxola has been having frequent offers on the items that they carry.

Few months back, they actually had a 25% SALE on all their products, and this is actually my 1st time placing an order from them. Yes call me a 'slow mo'... better late than never right. So i decided to get my hands on the ever famous Sigma Beauty F80 Flat Kabuki Brush, thanks to all the good reviews that i've been reading and watching on youtube. Previously i would use my hands to apply foundation and BB Cream, as i find it very tedious to use the brush, plus it leaves streaks on my face. Well maybe i'm just not good in using the normal foundation brush.

So here's the Sigma Beauty F80 Flat Kabuki Brush, as you can see the hairs on the brush is quite dense which makes it easy to apply foundation over the face. This brush originally cost RM 74.50, but after 25% discount, it only cost a mere RM55.88 which i think is a very good buy. A little pricey, but it's a good start in investing a good makeup brush.

I also purchase Sleek's Face Contour Kit. I've never dealt with any contouring before, my makeup was mere foundation, eye liner on the upper lid and waterline, blusher and lipstick. No highlighter, no bronzer. This contour kit retails at RM 45.50, after less 25% it only cost RM 34.13.

And a very simple and sleek packaging, very slim, easy and light to carry around. I actually chose the shade Light, as i'm more to the fair complexion side. So getting this shade was definitely and ideal choice. They also have two other shades available which is medium and dark.

 

Swatches with flash mode, it looks quite light but it actually turns out good on the cheek. This is my current favorite item in my makeup bag when i wanna go au naturel. You can even skip the blusher if you want, just put some light foundation, some eye liner, a little highlight and bronzer on the cheeks and the nose, some tinted lipbalm and you're good to go. I'm serious... you'll have a result of healthy glowing skin and not looking too made up...

So my verdict is both the items are definitely a good buy, and since Luxola uses Aramex you can actually track where your parcel is. The parcel actually reached me 5 days after i made the order & payment. And when i received it, you won't believe the amount of bubble wraps that they use. I even got a small sample of Rachel K's Mineral Color Control Neutral CC Cream Blemish Balm.

Mask Galore by Guardian

Assalamualaikum and Hi Dearies,

How is everyone doing? Hope everyone is doing well and good. Anyways this is another overdue post from me and it's about Guardian very own sheet mask. If you've followed my blog and read my post previously, you would know by now that i love using sheet mask. I somehow find it easier to use it, rather than using cream mask  and slathering it on my face and later removing it with water or the other which is the peel of mask.

Well it's not that i don't like them, it's just that i much prefer sheet mask, so yeah it's more of a personal preference. But the real reason is b'coz i normally used mask at night before i sleep, so i usually doze of to sleep with the mask on (so imagine if i were to use mud/cream or peel of mask.. eik.. i might end up messing up my pillow case. Plus i don't want to give my hubby a fright when he wakes up in the morning.. hehehe). Yes i'm guilty of that, but i'm sure some of you do the same as i do at times. Right?

So while i was out shopping groceries in Giant, i decided to give a visit to Guardian Pharmacy. I noticed that they were having offer for this mask which was like 2 for RM10 or 11 something, i can't really recall. But at the end i decided to get 4 of it and P.S their mask are made from Korea. 

Before that just to mentioned that i do have dry combination skin and i do have some flaws like occasional pimples, pigmentation and sometimes my skin does look a little sallow. So anything pertaining to moisture, brightening and nourishing to the skin i'll definitely give it a try.

Arbutin Brightening Face Mask

Olive Moisturising Face Mask

I've used all 4 of this mask and find it very cooling and moisturising. There's a scent for every of the mask but it's not too strong or overpowering that it will interfere the relaxation process. The mask is definitely drenched with the liquid extracts, but no worries as it doesn't really leave trails of liquid along your jaw or neck like how some sheet mask does. All in all it's a good buy especially for those who really loves sheet mask like i do. Reasonable price for a really good mask that not only does what it's suppose to do but also helps in making the user feel cool, calm and relax.
