[Beauty Review] Tarte Amazonian Butter Lipstick Set

*Please don't judge me... this post has been in the draft since last December. Been so caught up with things that i only manage to put it up now. Anway thanks again for dropping by the blog and reading my reviews.... ^_^

Hi & Assalamualaikum to all you lovelies,

How are you all doing today. I know this is kinda late coming from me, but did any of you lovelies haul anything from the Xmas Collections in Sephora? Well i actually did, i couldn't resist the temptation flooding into my emails and social media... sigh... women and shopping can never be too far.

So anyway's i couldn't resist and decided to drop by Sephora a week or 2 after they started bringing in xmas collections from brands like Tarte, Stila, Soap & Glory, Marc Jacobs, Estee Lauder etc. Due to my tight budget, i only manage to score 2 items from Tarte and they're worth every penny.

For today i'll just concentrate on the Deluxe Amazonian Butter Lipstick Set. I've purchase the full size one before in the shade Watermelon and i love it to bits. I'm the kind of lady that loves her lipstick in creamy consistency. I don't like feeling my lips dry and all so i always tend to lean on the creamy ones. This Deluxe Amazonian Butter Lipstick is the perfect match.

So when i heard that Tarte will be bringing in Deluxe Amazonian Butter Lipstick I decided to grab it, after all 4 lippies for RM 74 (if i can remember) is a steal. The full size one cost RM 64 and it's a decent amount. Getting this set is basically for me to try out other shades, plus it's not in the permanent line, so that's a bonus.

Described as inspired by the whimsical colors of the Amazon and infused with naturally-derived ingredients from its lush vegetation, these Amazonian butter lipsticks add a splash of rich color and creamy shine for a perfect pout.

As some of you might know, or for those who don't know the Amazonian Butter Lipstick is more like a tinted balm rather than a normal lipsticks. The consistency is very buttery that not only leaves your lips with a lovely sheen but also looks healthy and moisturize.

It's very sheer, which means it's also build-able if you want to pack your lips on with more color. And b'coz it's a deluxe size, it's practically travel friendly as it's very light weight (1g / 0.0.35oz each). The scent and taste is minty and it doesn't last long in the lips, roughly about 2-3 hours without eating or drinking. So you might have to apply it on again. It's in a cardboard packaging, so it looks very retro to me.

The colors that are in the set is:-

Punch - Described as a 'mauve pink'. It's a subdued pink with soft, warm undertones and a
creamy, lightly shiny finish. It has a semi-sheer, semi-opaque color payoff that
            applies easily on the lips.

Bellini - is described as a golden pink. It's a light, pinky-peach with gold shimmer. It has a
sheer color pay off that helps lighten my natural lip color while adding a light
             shine and noticeable shimmer.

Mimosa - is described as a peachy nude. It's a soft peachy brown with warm undertones
and natural sheen. It had semi-sheer to semi-opaque color coverage that went
              on fairly evenly.

Sangria - is described as a 'berry red'. It's a muted 'medium dark berry' with warm
undertones and a soft shine. It has semi-opaque color payoff that applied evenly
and had a comfortable feel to it.

I remember seeing Innanie (of Coklateyes) feature this in a haul. It is a steal! MYR 74 for 4 tubes! I wanted to pick this up but decided to spend my money on something I needed more pressingly at that moment...

Hi Hari, thank you again for dropping by my blog. Yeah Innanie did do a blogpost on her haul, and that's one of the reason among many why i got this. I love the formula so much that i just can't help myself to get one of it. Totally understand your reasons, necessity comes before wanting... ;)
