Profile Names for Facebook

Salam,

Just want to let out some disappointment over here. I don't get it why people don't use their original names as their profile name. I've been trying to trace back some friends that i used to know and hang out with during my schooling days, and i'm so glad that they used their original names instead of some funny nicknames.

At least i'm able to add this people back into my network, and i'm able to communicate with them after so long. I hope those out there who has been using anonymous names, please change it back to your original name... you never know who might be looking for you... after all the decision is in your hands, whether you want to accept this people or not as your friends. True?

Mother's Day

Salam,

This year mother's day was pretty normal... didn't do anything special, had breakfast with the hubby at home and than went to market as per-normal with Mama. Before that, we had to dropped her of at our nearest supermarket, while i head on to AVON. They had this special promotion on certain items specially for Mother's Day. So i purchased a perfume for Mama and a pearl necklace for Mummy.

We went out for a simple dinner at this place called Cardini, they served the best Halal Chinese Food... which could hardly be found around KL, and they're located at the Selayang Market. The family ordered rice and dishes, while i resulted to eating 'Kung Fu Chou - Ying Yong style'... the mouth just can't seem to eat any rice, since i had rice earlier for lunch.

So after dinner, we head back home to sent Mama, Koko and Farhana, since our next destination was Popo's house. Quickly took the mangoes and the blueberry cheese tart (made by Anwar's wife) and head straight to Popo's house.

Everyone was at home except for Papa, coz he went to Beijing for a 1 week holiday. Gave mom the necklace, which coincidentally she had the same colour, but somehow the colour is fading, so it was just perfect. Chat with Popo and mum, did some editing on some pictures that Amanda and i took when we went to the Orchid Park (for competition purposes), and left at about 11.30pm. So that's how i spend my Mother's Day. ^_^

Heaven is under our Mother's Feet

Assallamualaikum,

Ever wondered why the Hindu's use to bow and tap their hands on their mother's feet, coz of the above title... well anyway my intention to write this blog is not as a dedication to my Mum and mother-in-law for Mother's Day, but more for what had happen last Sunday.

You see, there's this story in the Sunnah of the Prophet (p.b.u.h), where this Sahabat (companion) asked him:-

Companion: Who do i take care first?
Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w): Your Mother
Companion: Who do i take care after that?
Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w): Your Mother
Companion: Who do i take care after that?
Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w): Your Mother

So, moral of the story is our mom's are really important in our lives. Now next i need space to express what ever has been boiling in my heart.

If i had the chance, i would really, really love to express this to Aunty M. To tell her how important it is to take care of your mum, and whatever hurtful things she said to Aunt P, just wasn't right at that time, no matter how angry you were at her. There will always be misunderstanding, if you don't find the time to resolve it and make it clear.

So here it is:-

Aunt M, what you are currently doing with nanny is a really noble and humble thing. Not many people out there are willing to sacrifice their time, sweat and money to be able to take their time to take care of their aging mother. You might find that it is tough doing all this, but she is after all your mother, the one who bore you for 9 months and took care of you through out your life.

There might be other siblings around that are suppose to divide their responsibility with you, but they have other priorities too, it's just so happen that your a housewife and your able to have the time to take care of her. What your doing right now is directly contributing to the deeds that your bringing in the here after later on. But after hearing you expressing yourself through your anger, i realize that you were not taking care of nanny sincerely. I mean, your basically pointing fingers at your sisters and claiming that they were the ones that didn't bother to take her in and all.

Like HELLO, (i'm backing my mum up) my mum is un-able to take her in, for the fact that my parents are staying with my Popo (Dad's mum) and it's her house. Do you think, she would like to see her mum that way? I'm sure my mum would want to take care of her no matter what. But she's also working, it'll be another 5 years more, before she retires. Plus, with Popo's condition now, after recovering from a stomach ulcer, even she is in the same condition as nanny is. Alhamdullilah, my dad, sis and his brother were able to contribute, to hire a maid, so that she would not be alone at home, when my parents are at work and when my siblings have schools and classes.

The other thing, you have to always remind yourself, is the way Aunt P and Uncle C always contribute to the family after grandpa past away. The only money that was channeling in to the family was grandpa's pension, and it wasn't sufficient, and did you not forget, that Aunt P's pay was only RM300, and yet she still try to help the family. Where is your sense of gratitude, after all this years. Pointing fingers at her claiming that Aunt P was after Nanny's EPF and all. If you don't know the real story don't mention it, and why of all things, do you need to say that she's jealous of you now, now that you owned a house, car and everything that you own.

I'm just sad for the fact that, there is never an understanding in this family. The way you guys talk rudely at each other, doesn't reflect the way you are as a believer. Exerting your anger is not one of the qualities that God will like to see. At the end of the day, it is your actions that are counted. Now that everything looks so negative, there won't be any chance that either of the siblings would come over to your place to see nanny, due to your disrespect fullness towards them who are more elder than you. For the record, you have no rights to stop anyone from visiting their own mother or grandmother. We never know when God will decide to take her away... so why don't you just be more considerate with our feelings.

A Belated Birthday Dinner at Chilis

Asallamualaikum,

Due to the fact that my hubby couldn't bring me out for dinner on my birthday, he decided to bring me out last night to Chilis. After a long hiatus, of not being there, coz hubby is so concern with the preparation of food, since the place is called Chilis Grill & Bar. Yup... it's all about the 'halal'....

Anyway, he gave in by taking in consideration that i've been wanting to eat there. I miss they're triple play especially, where they have the Southwestern Eggrolls.

Left the house at about 8.45pm and arrived in BSC at about 9.15pm. We ordered the food and drinks, and waited for close to 10 minutes for the food to arrive. All the while my lil son is dancing inside of me... sometimes i wonder what is he up to.

Didn't have any camera with me, so im grabbing all this pictures from the website ^_^

Our Appetiser

&

Our Main Course is Monterey Chicken:-

It was a decent dinner, just enough for both of us. By the time we're done, we're both so full and since we only finished our dinner after 10pm, we weren't able to do any grocery shopping in Cold Storage. So we headed home....

Conclusion, it was a nice decent dinner... and thanks to the hubby for giving me such a nice treat... ^_^

What Happen on my Birthday

Assalamualaikum to all.....

The wishes started puring in after the clock stroked 12am... and it continued on till the next morning. Hubby went out for a supper cum meet up with one of his down line and only came back at 1am... that is when i hear him wishing me "Happy Birthday Darling"...

Anyway, that is not the main story of this blog. My mum, auntie Phena, sis, bro, hubby and i decided to go visit nanny (mom's mum)... she's currently staying with my Aunt and her family somewhere in Cheras. We've been trying to contact them for the past few months, but the phone is either directed to the voice mail or her house phone is out of service, which didn't make sense. So we just decided to try our luck and headed to her home.

Alhamdullilah, we manage to find the place with the help of Google Map and hubby's good road directions. Once, we reach... we were not greeted in a very well mannered way. The auntie came out from her house and first thing she said was:

Aunty M: Why are you all here? Why you all didn't give me a call and say you are coming? I'm supposed to go out now!!!"
Aunty P: We've tried calling you, but have you ever picked up your phone?

A whole fighting match went on.. when she is inside her compound, and we are waiting outside of her house under the hot sun... than she threatened to not let us in... just b'coz of the argument and it is her house. (Does it make sense that you greet your own relatives like that, even though you have misunderstanding's in the past? Was it wrong for us to come and meet our loved ones, knowing that she's growing old every day?)

Anyway, she allowed us in, but with a time limit of just 20 minutes. We went in, and saw my nanny sitting on her bed in a dark room. She was wearing a t-shirt with shorts, with the portable toilet right next to her, and a corner with all the idols and pictures of Jesus and Mother Mary. I sat right next to her and quickly gave her a hug... everybody was in the room by than, but the argument wasn't over between the aunties.

They began slandering each other, and the next thing i knew, i got emotional and started tearing, even my sis and my mother. Our intention was to come and see her, and not to start a heated argument, which is purely unnecessary. One argument let to another, soon a whole piece of the past is brought back out again. My aunt whose house belongs to her, began to be aggressive physically and started heating Aunty P. Mum had to be the one in between to stop the whole chaos. Lil bro even try to mediate between the both aunties.

All the while, the hubby was outside at the living room, he decided to call me out of the room, since he doesn't want me to be stuck in the situation, with me being pregnant and all. I waited outside with him, the next thing, my Aunt M comes to me, and says:-

Aunty M: I'm sorry you have to see all this, you are not at fault.. but this people hasn't been coming to visit their mother... bla...bla... bla...
Me: I just want to be clear, that we've all been trying to call you to inform that we would like to come over and visit nanny, but your handphone either goes to a voice mail or your house phone is no longer out of service. I've even messaged your daughter to enquire, but she didn't even replied me.
Aunty M: I know, and i'm sorry i never return your call, about my daughter she had been having her exams, so i've banned her from using the computer.
Me: But i've seen her online many times...
Aunty M: Only lately, i've allowed her back on the computer, even i myself don't have the time to check my mail.

(Truth is, whether she's telling the truth or making up a story is another issue, Allahualam.../ and do realise that she could actually change her attitude in mere seconds.)

She went back in and started shouting again... telling the others in the room to get out and let me in to see nanny. They didn't bothered, so i just went in and talk to her for a while. Telling her that i'm 8 months pregnant, and i'm due in June 17th.

After 5 minutes, we all gave her a hug and told her to take care of herself. I promised her, that i'll try to come and visit her again, after a few months baby is born, so she can see her great-grandson. We all left the house with a somber heart. Mum and aunt P was tearing, coz they couldn't bear the fact that their sister just treated them that way.

We than decided to have lunch in PJ, before sending Aunt Phena back home. Before that we went to visit my Uncle, chit chat for a while, since i didn't see him since my wedding reception last year. We headed back home, and only reached home at about 4.15pm. Took a cold shower, did my obligatory prayer, fold all the clothes and took an hour nap. The hubby had to go to his customers place and do a data transfer... so we didn't manage to go out and celebrate my birthday. Mama cook a simple dinner for us, since she was tired herself, running up and down from Koko's house to our house...

Since mum bought a 3 piece cake for my birthday... i decided to cut it and share it between the 4 of us includin the lil niece who has been staying over at our house for the past few nights, since her new baby sister arrived.

Adam's Birthday

16th April is the day hubby celebrates his 27th Birthday, yup his getting older... hehehe. Anyway, it fell on a Friday, so we thought he was going for his weekly Arabic class. Mama cooked a simple dinner, while i went out to King's Confectionary to get a Chocolate Birthday cake.

Thank God, we had two fridge, one was in the kitchen, while the other was at the outside kitchen. I hid the cake, in the fridge that was located at the outside kitchen.

The hubby came back from work, took his bath as per-usual, than i notice he was looking for a birthday cake. We lied and told him, that we didn't purchase any birthday cake. Somehow mid-way dinner, mama accidentally blurped out about the birthday cake, but we changed the story and said that koko (brother-in-law) is going to get it, before he comes over.

When he did come he said he forgot to buy the birthday cake. Pity the husband, coz he look a little disappointed. By the time everyone was done with their dinner, i brought out the cake, he looked so happy:-

Hubby: I somehow knew u lied....
Me: Yalah, yalah.... Happy Birthday...

He blew the candles, Farhana (niece)... thought it was her birthday... kids these days... sigh.

Raya Qur'ban in Tanah Merah, Kelantan.

Asallamulaikum,

So it was the time of the year, when Muslim's celebrate Hari Raya Qur'ban/Raya Haji. We decided to slaughter a goat this year for Mama, as she just converted. But b'coz 'Ayah' (sis-in-laws dad), wasn't able to find one at the last minute, so he ended up purchasing a sheep.

We left for Tanah Merah, at about 9am, and by the time we reached there it was almost 6 something in the evening. Due to the jam in the lil towns that we pass and the over crowding at public toilets at the R&R.

Anyway, alhamdullilah we reached our destination safely. After refreshing and praying, we went to check out the sheep that Ayah bought for Mama's Qur'ban, it looks huge (sori didn't take any pictures). So than, Mak (sis-in-laws mum) made us dinner, we chit-chat, and went off to sleep by 12am or so.

The next morning was Raya Qur'ban, Mak prepared nasi lemak for breakfast, and than we decided to get ready to go to the Mosque for Raya Qur'ban prayers, but i guess we were late, coz by the time we pass the Mosque and the Surau's nearby, the Imam's were already giving their Khutbah. Probably, it was b'coz it was a Friday, so the Raya Qur'ban prayers could have started earlier. We decided to head back to 'Ayah's house, an hour later, all the man in the house were called to the back, coz the Imam had arrived to recite some prayers, before the sheep is slaughtered.

By the time i went to check it out, the sheep has already been slaughtered and they are removing the coat of fur that was once was on the sheep. I'm looking at the hubby helping out 'Abeh' (sis-in-law's brother), from a far. He looks like he was disgusted with it, but just have to put a brave face on. Anyway, it took almost 2 hours for them to clean, cut and coat the sheep's meat with 'chalk powder' so it doesn't smell. Mak used all the meat to cooked up a gulai. By noon, a feast was prepared for relatives and friends to come and feast. It didn't taste that bad, but i'm glad i didn't have to witness the slaughtering, i always find it hard to hear animals moaning, when they're about to be slaughtered. But it seems, the sheep somehow knew it was going to be slaughtered, so when they put it to lie on the ground, it just obeyed without retaliating.

We stayed in Kelantan for another 2 days, and decided to head home. This time Wong, followed us in the car. And that is the first time, i experienced having bad nausea and vomitting. Practically the dinner i had at the R&R were all flushed out of my stomach, i never had a bad experience like this before. That was when my vomitting experience started. Ever since we got back from Kelantan, i've been enduring it, up till i'm 5 months pregnant. Sigh, i guess that's what you have to go through when you wanna have a baby ^_^
